IFS has specially trained employees that work specifically in the aviation sector

IFS provides preventative and reactive maintenance requests at airports in both regional and metropolitan areas across Australia.

IFS provides a range of skilled trades and services to perform construction, preventative, scheduled maintenance and specialised trades and some of these projects located within airports have a high degree of complexity and security, which we are accustomed to delivering services in, where we have the infrastructure and ability to adapt to working in evolving and challenging working environments.

We are used to receiving high volumes of unplanned maintenance requests in the form of work orders as part of such contracts, ranging in priority from P1 (1 hour critical) – P4 (30 days planned) and coping with a range of different timelines and priority groups in line with any stipulated KPI’s. IFS understands the KPI driven nature of facility support services contracts and to date, IFS can confirm a ‘zero issue record’ from past performance. Delivering services to this standard has seen our teams increase their service delivery standards across such facilities and contractual works for clients, increasing the adherence to KPI’s, such that we are close to zero call backs for rectification of works.

Anticipating the complexity of any such contract, IFS has developed an integrated approach to design, construction and maintenance that begins and ends with the client’s requirements. Because we operate throughout the entire lifecycle of an installation, we build whole of life considerations into every system we deliver. If we engineer a system, we design it to be easy, efficient and cost effective to maintain so that our customers benefit from a low cost of ownership and assets that continue to perform well into the future.

Crucial to the successful implementation and management of such contracts, IFS ensures that the contract delivery team is led by an experienced Account Manager with a comprehensive understanding of providing facility management. Importantly, our Account Managers are involved in every phase of a contract, from initial discussions, engineering and estimation, through to installation, commissioning, handover, defects, warranty and maintenance. Our contract teams are resourced with highly skilled technical specialists and are structured to be aligned with our customer’s contract team, so that effective and efficient lines of communication can be established from the contract conception. Our system is adaptive to meet the reporting requirements of each individual customer.

Many of our Account Managers have at least over a decade of experience within the industry and are promoted to their positions due to their ability to innovate and deliver within timeframes and budgets. This means that they continually build on their knowledge and innovations in new technology applications and products to provide a market leading consulting service.

The extensive ‘hands on’ field experience of our project leadership team, coupled with recognised project management qualifications, provides our team with the necessary management skills that must be and can only be learnt on the job.
